It is solemn because it establishes that a man and a woman should become a union of two persons. This is also a joyful time for now a love will have taken a great step toward fulfillment.

This adventure begins with the honesty existing between ___________ and ______________ and among you who witness this event. Be it known to you all that the responsibility for the integrity with which __________and ____________ make this covenant finally rests upon their own hearts and on their friends and family.

Children (together): We don't know how our mom and dad got together
First child (interrupting): Yes we do
Second child: That's right. We don't know how they got together...
First child (interrupting again): Yes we do! Yes we do!
All (together): But we are glad they did
Third child: It was magic

We are gathered here to join this man and this woman in marriage.
