QUIT YET?

      Quit yet?
Don't change the channel ... this is a short message.
I did it. Actually, I did it two or three times a week for a couple of years before I realized how much extra money I would have to spend on stuff like race cars if I stopped spending it on Joe Camel.
Joe Camel never gave me a ride.
Don't get me wrong. I liked smoking. but I liked racing more. At today's prices, having an extra couple grand in my pocket each year feels pretty good. Tax free, too. Who cares what your lungs look like? Follow the money.
New York's Tobacco Control Program has some help, too. It includes Youth Empowerment, School Prevention, Community, Counter Advertising, Advocacy, Regulation, Enforcement, and Cessation. Here are some useful links: Vermont Quit Line (1.877.YES.QUIT or 1.877.937.7848), Ellis Hospital, Canadian Lung Association.
"The hardest thing most people do in their lives is stopping smoking."
      Good luck!
